ACTIVE PRAYER SUPPORTERS: 68.833
In a time like this, a jolt needs to go through our nation. What if hundreds of thousands in Germany would simultaneously join in prayer?
The Jewish Passover feast starts on Wednesday, April 8. The people of Israel remember how God, by way of the plagues, liberated them from captivity. We are extending an invitation to pray together from 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.: For the sick and the healthy, for everybody that is currently providing critical services. For our country! For our continent and people worldwide that are affected by the crisis. We pray together! Online! From our houses and apartments! Solidarity instead of isolation – hope instead of fear. Our country needs God’s help and we want to set a clearly visible sign. Will you be part of it?
United in heart and online via the live stream of “Deutschland betet gemeinsam” (Germany unites in prayer) leaders and Christians from different confessions will join in prayer for our country. A signal against anti-Semitism. A signal against hopelessness.
We unite together in prayer!

OUR PRAYER
In solidarity with the many suffering and those, that providing irreplaceable services for our society, we as people of faith stand before you, the God of life. We confess: We need your help. The opportunity for a sustainable fresh start lies alone in our faith in you. Jesus Christ speaks: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” We pray for our country and speak:
We bow before you, the triune God and confess our guilt. We have not thanked your for your daily kindness and great faithfulness. In our daily lives, we did not seek your will. We disregarded your commandments, distorted your order and ignored those suffering. We are sincerely sorry for this.
We hear your word to the people of Israel: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chr 7,14). We believe you that you have plans of salvation and hope for us.
We ask you: For the sake of Jesus Christ, forgive us our transgressions. We seek you and reverse our wrong paths. We say no to anti-Semitism, racism and hopelessness. Heal and renew this world, your church, our life, and our togetherness. Come, Holy Spirit, and renew the face of the earth. Open us for you and your words. Fill us, that we may live a life that honors you, helps the people, and fills us with gladness. Let this crisis be a new chance, through which many people find you for the first time, the source of life.
We especially pray:
Our Father in Heaven….
Amen
